Kofte Kebabs

Kofte Kebabs with Pilaf Turkish rice

Great to prepare in the freezer and cook when needed, these Turkish influenced kofte kebabs are packed with flavour and wholesome nutrients.


500g lamb mince
1 onion, grated
1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
1 tsp mint
1 tbsp ginger/garlic paste
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
3 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp natural yoghurt
2 tsp cumin
2 tsp ground coriander


Place all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well using your hands.
Divide the mixture into 24 equal balls and place on a flat tray and chill for at least 1 hour or freeze until needed.
Put a little oil into a large pan and fry lightly, turning frequently until done - about 7-10 minutes on each side.
Serve with rice, salad and sour cream dip.
